Charlie & Fanny
Charlie and Fanny are our two cats. They are siblings (both male) who have lived with us since they were six weeks old.
They sleep most of the day and go out at night. They have a cat-flap and they can come and go as they please.
When we go away we have to make sure that they are cared for but after an unfortunate experience with a local cattery (Charlie was fine but Fanny was very unhappy) we now use the services of our neighbours Diane and Tony who run Ditto, a house and pet sitting service.
When we went away on our Canadian trip, the cats stayed in the house and were looked after by Diane and Tony who came in each day to feed them and keep them company. This had the advantage that the cats could stick to their usual routine and diet and we knew that they were being looked after by someone we could trust.
It worked fine. But both cats were really pleased to see us when we returned!
